Training
For small and mid-size businesses it can be challenging to dedicate resources to deliver employee training internally. Many organizations can spend tens of thousands of dollars each year maintaining current training resources. Mission Workplace Consulting can offer a wide variety of training services to your organization, so you don’t have to dedicate time and money to remain current on legislative changes, emerging trends and train your own staff to deliver that training.

Policy and Procedure Development
More than ever it is essential that businesses have current and relevant policies and procedures to direct their operations, employee relations and emergency protocols. Policies and procedures are not only used to meet the requirements of many regulatory bodies, they provide a consistent foundation for employees and employers.
When employees and employers understand the “rules of engagement” and those expectations are consistently and uniformly applied, it is much easier to achieve the organizations objectives and goals.
Mission Workplace Consulting can support organizations with the development and implementation of your workplace policies and procedures, having extensive experience in the following areas.

Regulatory Actions
Many Alberta regulators have the ability to enter and inspect your premises to determine if you are in compliance with Provincial statutes. In many cases these visits are uneventful and can serve as a way for the regulator to educate employers. In some cases these inspections can lead to enforcement action, that may come in the form of orders or penalties.
Orders and Administrative Penalties issued by Occupational Health and Safety can be appealed to a Director of OHS or to the Labour Relations Board.
